Chapter 7-4

Ever since my conversation with Mom, she has given up on trying to keep Belle and I apart. So Belle has been hanging out at my house almost everyday.

Cyan: Ya know, this stuff isn't nearly as good as getting it straight from the source.
Belle: Well, yeah, it's not as fresh, that's why, but it's better than starving.
Cyan: True, but I'm sure you still get the urge for fresh blood.
Belle: yeah, of course, but for safety's sake I keep it to a minimum. You were my first fresh blood in a very long time.
Cyan: *jokingly* Oh, you're no fun.
Belle: Hey, I'm not telling you what to do. If you wanna do that, go ahead, just don't come crying to me if something awful happens.
Cyan: I'll stick to the bags for now.
Belle: Good choice.

With my parents easing up on Belle, things have been much less stressful, and I've been happy for the first time since I've become a vampire.

My dad has even taken the time to get to know Belle. He assured me that I made a good choice.

Plus I've finally been able to resist the temptation to feed enough to be able to go back to Music Club. I'm so happy to be able to express myself through music again.

And Belle and I have finally taken our relationship to the next level, and made love for the first time.

By the time my birthday came around, I had a pretty good grasp on this vampire thing.

Now that I was old enough Belle and I can move out into our own place. My extended family offered for us to move into the family home, and we accepted.

Ivy: Cyan, before you leave, I'd like to have a chat with the two of you.
Cyan: Okay, sure, let me get her.

I go to fetch Belle and we meet Mom in the living room.

Cyan: What's this all about?
Ivy: I wanted to apologize. To both of you, but especially you Belle. You're a sweet girl, and I was so mean to you for no reason. I'm sorry, and I wish you the best. And Cyan, I'm sorry for being so hard on you for hanging out with Belle. I can tell that you really love her, and I believe that the two of you belong together.
Cyan: Thanks, Mom. That means a lot to us.
Belle: Yes, thank you, Mrs. Greene.

The time to leave for our new house came, and I said goodbye to my parents.

Ivy: *tearing up* I'm going to miss you, sweetie. You'll always be my baby boy. Keep in touch, okay?
Cyan: Will do. I love you, Mom.
Ivy: Love you too.

Turq: Stay out of trouble. I'll take care of your mother, don't you worry. Goodbye kiddo, we'll miss you.
Cyan: *chuckles* I'll try. Thanks, Dad. I'll miss you too.

Later that afternoon, Belle and I arrived at our new house.

Cyan: Well, this is it. The old family home.
Belle: It's bigger than I expected.
Cyan: I'll guess we'll just have to fill it.
Belle: You want children?
Cyan: Yes, of course I do.
Belle: Good, so do I. Let's wait a little while, though.
Cyan: *winks* No promises.
Belle: *laughs* You're such a goofball.

Once we got settled, we decided to break in the new house...a couple of times ;)

All this new-found privacy was just what the two of us needed. We could finally be alone together, and grow as a couple. We both got jobs in entertainment, and the daily grind started.

We got tired of being cooped up in the house during the week, so when we were free we'd enjoy the outdoors, to the best that we could before the sun started to drain us. It's still nice to feel the warmth on your skin every once in a while.

Our favorite spot was the balcony of a little bakery in town. We'd bring some blood packs and hang out up there. Nobody ever went up there, especially in the winter.

I often play the piano when we go there. I like to serenade Belle, just to embarrass her. Today I have a plan, and it's time to set it in motion. She won't see it coming.

🎜 I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life
There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes, I see
The missing pieces I'm searching for
I think I've found my way home
I know that it might sound
More than a little crazy...♫

Belle: Oh, come on, not this again...
Cyan: You know you like it. It's true though, just sayin'.
Belle: That's very sweet, Cyan, thank you.

Cyan: I'd do anything for you, baby. I love you so much.
Belle: I love you too, Cyan. I always have.
Cyan: I have one request though.
Belle: Oh? What?
Cyan: I want you to stop blaming yourself.
Belle: But it was my fault. All of it.
Cyan: I know, technically it was, but I don't care. I believe in fate, and therefore I believe that everything that has happened with us was meant to happen, destined to happen. I'm happy with where I am now, and I have you to thank for that. I wouldn't change a thing.

Now's the time to make my move. I pull the ring out of my pocket and get down on one knee.

Cyan: Bluebelle Berry, you are everything I could ask for in a partner, and I want to be with you forever. Will you marry me?
Belle: *shocked, starting to cry* Y-yes of course I will.
Cyan: Score!
Belle: *giggles* Really? That's the first thing out of your mouth?
Cyan: Love you!
Belle: That's better :) *starts laughing*
Cyan: What's so funny?
Belle: I never paid attention to it before but...
Cyan: What?
Belle: Your gap tooth, it looks funny with the fangs.
Cyan: Wow...random much? Way to hurt my ego.
Belle: I think it's adorable, you're adorable.
Cyan: Uh...okay then, Mrs. Giggles. Ready to head home?
Belle: Yeah, this sun's getting to be too much.

We headed home to celebrate our engagement...in private. Now it's time to start planning the wedding.
