Chapter 6-5

Trigger Warning: While I try to keep things PG13,  some scenes may be inappropriate for younger readers or those sensitive to sexual situations (such as rape), drugs, and domestic violence. There isn't any nudity or anything graphic, but there is a scene where sexual assault/domestic violence is implied.

My sister, Jade, has decided to move in with me for a while to help me during my pregnancy and with the baby when he arrives. Life has been pretty peaceful for the past couple weeks.

Unfortunately, one day while I was out doing errands, that peace and quiet was broken.

..........................................................................................................................................................

Jade's POV

Today I'm helping to clean up the place while Ivy is out and about. I hear the door open. Thinking that it's Ivy, I turn to offer to help her. But I stand face to face with none other than Turq. Looking high as usual.

Jade: Oh hell no. What are YOU doing here?

Turq: I want to see Ivy. Where is she?
Jade: Out. She won't be back for a while.
Turq: Well, then. I wanted her, but you'll do just fine.
Jade: What are you talking about?

He moves closer and kisses me.  I pull back and slap him. Then he gets angry, and pushes me to the floor, pinning me down.

Jade: What are you-
Turq: Shut up, let me handle this.

He pulls down his pants, and slid off my bottoms. Then he covers my mouth with his hands, and has his way with me. I try to fight him off but he's too strong. He finishes doing the deed, and redresses both of us, and stands up.

Turq: If you tell anyone about this, I'll come back here and kill you, b****. Got that?
Jade: *trembling* O-okay. I won't tell.
Turq: Good.

He turns to leave when Ivy walks in the door.

Ivy: What the hell is going on here?!
Turq: Jade and I were having just a little chat, right Jade?

I nodded, too afraid that he'll make good on his threat.

Turq: I was here to see you, Ivy, but I think I'll just take my leave. G'night.
Ivy: Listen here, if I catch you around here again, I'm calling the police, got it?
Turq: Whatever. I'm out.

Ivy turns to me, and helps me up off the floor.

Ivy: Are you okay? What happened?
Jade: N-nothing, I just tripped and fell over. I'm such a klutz ya know? Everything is fine. Really.
Ivy: Okay, if you say so. Cuz if he did something to you...
Jade: I'm fine. Don't worry about it.

I felt bad lying to her. I so badly wanted to tell her what had happened, but I feel that Turq would somehow find out and come for me. So for now, I chose to keep quiet.

.........................................................................................................................................................

Ivy's POV

Jade's not telling me something, I just don't know what. That jerk better not have hurt her. I guess she'll tell me in her own time.

Since then, the peace returned, and thankfully there's been no sign of Turq. Maybe he finally got the hint.
Clover heard about Turq's behavior and my pregnancy so he thought he would come and check on us. Plus he wanted to meet his soon-to-be nephew.

After he left that afternoon, Jade came up to me.

Jade: Hey, sis. I want to talk to you about what actually happened that day that Turq came over.
Ivy: I knew there was more to it. Spill it.
Jade: He-He...He pushed me to the ground, and he raped me. He threatened to kill me if I told anyone.
Ivy: Oh my God, why didn't you call the cops, or tell me and I would have called.
Jade: I think he's serious about his threat. I didn't want to take the chance. You've been under enough stress with the baby and I didn't want to bother you with it.

Ivy: I could've handled it. This is important. Are you okay?
Jade: I'm fine...but I think I'm pregnant.
Ivy: Seriously? Damn it. Are you sure?
Jade: Yes. I'm sure. My belly is expanding, and I know it's not regular weight gain, plus I've been sick which I originally thought was a stomach bug. So yeah, I'm pretty sure.
Ivy: F***, okay. We'll figure this out.

Jade: I'm going to keep the baby. I don't have the heart to get rid of it. I just don't know what to do now. Should I stay here with you, or move back home?
Ivy: It's your decision, but I think that it would be best to move back home once the baby is born, and get away from all this stress. This wouldn't have happened if I didn't ask you to move in with me. This is my fault.
Jade: Oh, come on, Ivy. You didn't know this would happen. There's nothing you could've done to prevent it. Don't be so hard on yourself. You've been a great big sister to me! I don't regret moving here. It's been fun...for the most part. I guess we'll be pregnant together then, huh?
Ivy: *sigh* Yeah, I guess so.

Jade's announcement was pretty surprising to me, especially since I didn't know that Turq did that to her. I guess we'll just have to put it behind us and focus on our babies.

Jade's belly grew pretty quickly. To the point where you'd think she was as far along as I am. It's probably because she's naturally so tiny that any little bit of weight gain is very noticable on her.

Ivy: Jade, I think it's time. My water just broke. Mind driving me to the hospital?
Jade: Of course, let's go! Baby time!
Ivy: *laughing* You're so cute, Jade. I love you.

My parents were out of country taking a vacation, and my brother was busy at work, so they weren't able to make it to the hospital for the birth. Jade stayed by my side through the whole thing.

Jade: Push, girl, PUSH! Almost there!

Thankfully labor didn't last as long as before, but it seemed to be more painful than I remember.

I took my son home the next afternoon. I named him Cyan. He is definitely his father's son. The only thing he got from me is my eye color. I love my little man, such a little cutie. At least this time, I get to keep my baby.

Jade: Cyan's such a cute little guy. I'm jealous. I mean look at that little face!
Ivy: You'll have your baby before you know it. I'm sure you'll say the same about her. Just have patience, mama.
Jade: Yeah, yeah, I know. I can't wait!

Jade's time came four months later. She named her daughter Ice. Like Cyan, she takes after her father. There's no denying her parentage.

After getting into the groove of parenting, Jade and Ice moved back home. We vowed to keep in touch and make sure the kids have play dates when they get older. It was bittersweet seeing her leave. I loved having her around, but I stand by what I said before. I think it's safer for her to be home, just in case Turq does decide to randomly show up again.

For now, I just need to focus on little Cyan. I will make sure he grows up to be a decent human being, unlike his father. I just hope Turq doesn't find out about him.

If that happens, hell could break loose. And God knows we don't want that.

Chapter 6-4

Trigger Warning: While I try to keep things PG13,  some scenes may be inappropriate for younger readers or those sensitive to sexual situations (such as rape), drugs, and domestic violence. There isn't any nudity or anything graphic, but there are scenes where sexual assault/domestic violence/drug use is implied/mentioned.

No, no, no, dammit. This can't be happening. Not again.

It's like deja vu all over again. I'm pregnant, but this time it's not necessarily because of my stupidity. I didn't want this. Not now, at least. Not with the way Turq has been acting.

It's only been getting worse. He is getting high more and more frequently, and demanding sex almost everyday. If I don't give in to him, he beats me until I do. I love him, but this relationship can't continue, especially now that there's a baby on the way.

I go into the room and cry. I don't know what else to do. How is Turq going to act? Is he going to be high when he walks through the door?

He gets home shortly after noon, gets changed into comfortable clothes, and comes into the bedroom. He's sober. At least for now.

Turq: Hey Ivy, baby, what's wrong? Why are you crying?

Without saying anything, I hand him the pregnancy test. A shocked look comes over his face.

Turq: You're pregnant? No way.
Ivy: Yes way. We're going to have a baby. I don't know how I feel about this.
Turq: C'mon honey, this is great. We can be a family. Come here, sit with me.

I move to the edge of the bed and he pulls me into his arms.

Turq: It'll be fun having a little one around the house.
Ivy:...

Staying silent, I get up and go to the bathroom. I don't feel like talking to him about his behavior. I don't want to start a fight. He follows me anyway.

Turq: What's wrong? What did I do?
Ivy: What did you do? What didn't you do? The drugs, the violence. I can't take it anymore. If we have this baby, things need to change.
Turq: Oh, honey, they will. I swear. I'll get clean. I want to be with you, and raise the baby together.
Ivy: It better change. If not, then we're done. I'm putting my foot down!

He hugs me.

Turq: I'll change, I'll get help. Please baby, let's be a family. Just give me a chance.
Ivy: Fine. You have one chance to prove it.

And things did get better....for while.

When I hit the three month mark in my pregnancy. It started up again.

Ivy: Are you f***ing kidding me? Again, Turq? You were doing so well!
Turq: I-I tried. It's hard to just quit. But the stress of the baby...I just like doing it, okay?!
Ivy: We had a deal. I'm not doing it anymore, Turq. We're through. get out of my house!

He pushes me to the floor and starts beating me, hands around my throat. Then everything goes black...
......................................................................................................................................................................

Jade's POV

Jade: Ivy! I'm here! Ready to go?

No answer.

Jade: Ivy?

I walk into the apartment, and I see Ivy passed out on the floor.

Jade: S***. Ivy, are you alright? Can you hear me?

No response. Oh f***, I need to call an ambulance.

Operator: 911, how can I help you?
Jade: My sister...she's unconscious. She looks like she was beat up, or fell and hit her head. I need an ambulance as soon as possible.
Operator: Give me the address and I'll send someone out right away.

I gave the operator the address and hang up. I'm scared. What happened? Where's Turq?

It felt like eternity before the ambulance got there. They got Ivy on the stretcher to take her to the hospital.

Jade: Hey sis, I'm here. Everything's going to be okay.

They got her to the hospital, and got her changed and situated in the bed. They assured me that she'll be fine. Just some cuts and bruises.

She woke up a couple hours later, clearly confused.

Ivy: Where am I? My head is pounding. What happened?
Jade: You're in the hospital. I came to your house because we were going to go shopping remember? When I got there, you were on the floor. Do you remember anything?
Ivy: I remember arguing with Turq, and him knocking me down. That's about it.
Jade: So HE did this to you?! What an a**hole.
Ivy: Yeah, I was telling him that he needed to leave, that our relationship was over...
Jade: And he got angry, right?
Ivy: Yeah, very. He was high on whatever drugs he's been taking, and he very violent when he's on them. I should have waited until he sobered up. This is all my fault.
Jade: This is not your fault, Ivy. He clearly needs help, professional help. You should report him.
Ivy: Maybe. I need to talk to him when I get home. If he doesn't go to rehab, I'm kicking him out. We'll go from there.

..............................................................................................................................................................

Ivy's POV

I was released from the hospital the next morning. Now I have some business to take care of.

And of course, Turq was home when I got there.

Turq: Hey, you okay? I heard you fell and hit your head. You look like hell.
Ivy: No thanks to you. I know you did this to me. I didn't just "fall." You need help, seriously. You need to leave. I don't want to see you around here any more! LEAVE.
Turq: But...what about the baby? I can't leave you to care for it alone.

Ivy: The baby's gone.
Turq: What do you mean it's 'gone'?
Ivy: I mean it didn't make it...after you attacked me. I miscarried...because of you. Thanks, a**hole. Now GET OUT!
Turq: I-I killed our baby? I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. It was the drugs talking, not me.
Ivy: *glares*
Turq: Fine. I'm leaving. I really am sorry, Ivy. Goodbye.

I start tearing up as he leaves through the door. I love him, but yet I hate him. He's the father of my baby after all.

I lied to him about the baby, by the way. Our son is still alive and well. He was a little jostled but he's going to be fine. I chose to wear a baggy hoodie to hide my belly so it's not so obvious that I'm still pregnant. I knew if I told Turq the truth, he wouldn't leave, and I'd be stuck with his episodes. I don't want our baby exposed to that, so I'm going to raise this baby on my own.

I was a good feeling that he is finally out of my life, so why do I feel so sad? Did I do the right thing? I laid in bed and moped the rest of the day.

Little did I know, the drama wasn't over yet.

Chapter 6-3

Trigger Warning: While I try to keep things PG13,  some scenes may be inappropriate for younger readers or those sensitive to sexual situations (such as rape), drugs, and domestic violence. There isn't any nudity or anything graphic, but there is a scene where sexual assault/domestic violence/drug use is implied.

It's been a year and a half since I gave up my babies. Rose and Ocean sent me photos of them, and it brings back all the feelings of back then. However, I am glad to see their cute faces and I know they are happy and healthy in that home.

I now have a boyfriend, one that will hopefully be long term. Turq and I have been dating for about six months now, and we're still going strong. My family members don't like him, but I don't understand why. He has been nothing but loving to me.

My sister, Jade has finally hit her teen years, and she's still as sweet and innocent as she was during childhood.

 Jade's POV

I really don't like Ivy's boyfriend. He's a scumbag. He's always pestering me, and it's hard to even be around him. Like get the hint, bro, I'm not interested.

Turq: Hey, how's it going Jade? You look cute today.
Jade: Leave me alone, I'm busy.
Turq: Oh come on, I just wanna chat.
Jade: Not now. Get outta here.
Turq: Fine, fine, I'll go.

He'll leave when I tell him to, especially when I'm trying to do homework, but as soon as I leave my room, there he is. Such a nuisance. I really wish Ivy would make him leave for good.

Turq: You're done now, I see. Sooo, how sweetie, tell me, are you doing anything tonight?
Jade: Seriously. Turq, don't talk to me. I'm not interested. You're dating my sister for f***s sake. Leave. Me. Alone.
Turq: That doesn't mean we can't have a little fun.
Jade: ...

At that point I just walk away. No point in arguing with him; he won't listen. I told Mom and Dad, and they said they'll take care of it. Thank goodness.

Ivy's POV

Melon: Ivy. We need to talk. NOW.
Ivy: Sure, dad. What's up? Something wrong?
Melon: Yes, very wrong. It's that boyfriend of yours. He's nothing but trouble.
Ivy: Trouble? How? He's the sweetest guy I know.
Melon: Maybe to you, but he's making your sister uncomfortable. She said he's been coming on to her repeatedly. You need to make him leave. He is not allowed around here anymore.
Ivy: Seriously? Jade's just jealous. She wants him for herself, and is trying to break us up. If he can't be here, then I'm not going to be here either! I'm moving out.
Melon: Listen here, young lady...
Ivy: Whatever Dad. I'm eighteen now. You can't stop me!

I storm away after that. How dare they? They're always trying to keep Turq and I apart. I'm sooo done with this s***. I'm moving as soon as I find a place.

...........................................................................................................................................................

I found a small apartment a week later. Time to get out of the parents' house. Turq moved in with me as well.

What I didn't know is that Turq is a drug addict. Apparently he has been doing them for a while, and I never knew. He did a really good job of hiding it from me. I realized one day when he came to visit obviously high out of his mind. Dilated pupils, bloodshot eyes, rings around his eyes, and his overall demeanor was completely different.

Turq: Hey baby, how's it going?
Ivy: Oh hey, didn't kn- *turns around* What the hell? Are you high?
Turq: As a kite, baby. Feels great; you should try it sometime.
Ivy: Uh..I'll pass.

Turq: What do ya say we have a little woohoo?
Ivy: No, I'm not in the mood. Especially not while your like this.
Turq: Listen b****, I need this. Get into that bed NOW.

Ivy: Seriously Turq, no, not right now.
Turq: Oh you little...

I turn to look at him, only to see his fist aiming straight for my face. And it landed...hard. So hard, that it knocked me to the ground.

Turq: Now, get off the floor and into that room.
Ivy: Ugh, fine, you a**. I'm going.

I decided to give in after that punch. I was pissed, but fighting back would only make things worse. And we did it. I just let him do what he wanted because apparently he is violent as hell when he's high, and frankly I'm scared to tell him no when he's in this state of mind.

I woke up the next morning to find bruises forming on my face and body. I didn't realize he had hit me that hard.

I need to put a stop to this ASAP.

Chapter 9-12

A year after the miscarriage, Chantilly and Obsidian are officially young adults. And I'm happy to announce that are expecting...
