Chapter 1-2

Grape's POV
Eight months into Mango's pregnancy.

Mango is, as usual, over at my house hanging out in my room. She smiles at me, absolutely glowing. Pregnancy suits her quite well.

Mango: I found out the sex of the baby today.
Grape:  Oh, yeah? What is it--boy or girl?
Mango: Hmmm...do you really want to know *grins*
Grape: Of course, I'd like to not have to call the baby 'it'.
Mango: I know...how 'bout you guess. I'll tell you if you're right or wrong.
Grape: Okay, let's see...

I get up from the bed, and she does as well. I put my hands on her belly, feeling around to see if I can get a vibe from the baby.  What are you little one? I take my hands back off and look at her.

Grape: Hmmm...I'm going to say it's a beautiful baby girl.
Mango: Is that your final answer?
Grape: Yes, I'm certain. I am a baby whisperer.
Mango: Well...
Grape: Oh, come on. Am I right?
Mango: Nope, you're wrong! It's a boy!
Grape: Ahh...I should have known. Boys run in my family after all.
Mango: I'll say. Your mom probably had a heck of a time with all you boys running around and causing trouble *smiles*.
Grape: Oh, you know it *smiles back*
Mango: Oh!
Grape: (panicking) What? What's wrong?
Mango: Sorry, it's nothing. He just kicked. It startled me, that's all.
Grape: I wanna feel!

I put my hands back on her belly, she put her hands on mine. Then I feel a little bit of pressure push back at me. It was my son, letting me know he is there. It was at this moment that it really hit me. I helped make this little guy, and he belongs to me (and Mango of course). We are going to be parents!

One month later. 8:30AM
Snow's POV

*ring* *ringring*

 Snow: Hello?
Mango: Hey Mrs. Sweet. It's Mango. I wanted to let you know that the baby is coming, and he's not going to wait much longer. I didn't want to bother Grape while he's at school, so can you please let me know when he gets home?
Snow: Of course, honey. I'll let him know. We'll stop by this afternoon.
Mango: Thank you, see you guys later. Bye!

3:00 PM
Grape's POV

Snow: Grape! Good, you're home. Mango called me this morning. She said she was in labor. She didn't want you to skip school, so she didn't call you right away. She wanted me to tell you.
Grape: Oh my gosh! I need to call her and see if she's okay!

I call Mango, nervous that something might have gone wrong or that she'd be mad at me for not calling her sooner. Someone picked up the phone.

??: Hello?
Grape: Um, hello Mr. Meringue, it's Grape. Is Mango there? Is she okay? I just heard the news and I was worried that--
Tangerine (Mango's dad): Oh, hey Grape. Yes, everything is fine. She's resting. Your son was born at 1:05 this afternoon, here at the house. you can stop by whenever you'd like to see them.
Grape: Great thank you, be there soon.

This is it. This is the moment I've been anxiously awaiting since I've learned of the pregnancy. Time to meet my son.

An hour later, after Mango woke up from her nap, I hurry over to her house which a couple blocks away. I can't wait any longer.

I arrive at the house, and Mango herself greets me. I pull her into my arms.

Grape: Hello, beautiful. How are you?
Mango: A little tired, but great other than that. Do you want to meet him?
Grape: Yes, definitely. It took all my self control not to come over as soon as I got the news.

She takes me into her room at the back of the house. I see the bassinet as soon as I walk through the door. There he is.

Mango: *picks up baby* He's finally here. I chose the name Fig. Is that okay with you?
Grape: Perfect, he looks like a little fig.

On first glance, I was alarmed that he didn't look like either of us because of his pale skin. Then I remembered that, in my family at least, usually babies start out pale and their skin gets darker
gradually as they get older. She hands him to me. I feel the little warm bundle in my arms and can't believe it. It's such an odd, but great, sensation.

Grape: He has your eyes. Beautiful orange.
Mango: That he does. I think his skin is going to be your purple tone. I see a slight purple tint starting in little areas of his skin.
Grape: We'll see. I-I don't know what to do. It seems so surreal. I can't believe he's ours.
Mango: Congrats, daddy *smiles*
Grape: Congrats to you too, mommy, he's beautiful. *smiles back*

That was the day my life changed forever. The best day of my life.

Chapter 1-1

  Sweet Household, 7 PM

Grape's POV

Mango is over at my house visiting me, hanging out in the living room. Out of the blue she stands up and looks over at me.

Mango: Grape, can I talk to you for a minute?'
Grape: Of course babe, why couldn't you? Is something wrong?
Mango: N-no of course not. I just need to tell you something. It's important.
Grape: Okay, okay calm down. Let's step into my bedroom for a little privacy.
Mango: Alright.

She slowly starts walking to my bedroom. I can tell she's nervous about something, that whatever she wants to say is serious. This worries me, so I decide to try and lighten the mood a little bit.

Grape: Okay, what is it? What's wrong?*gasps* Oh no, you're breaking up with me aren't you?
Mango: Of course not, silly. I love you.
Grape: Phew, okay, seriously now, what is it you wanted to say?

She looks at me with a worried look and takes a deep breath.

Mango: Grape, do you remember that one very special night we had last month?
Grape: Yeah, of course I do. It was the best night of my life. Our first woohoo.
Mango: Well, I don't know how to say this...
Grape: What?
Mango: I'm just going cut to the chase. I'm pregnant, we're going to have a baby.

I was shocked, letting the news sink in. I was going to be a father. How could this happen? She sits there looking concerned waiting for my reply. I look at her and smile.

Grape: I don't know what to say, I'm shocked, but I'm also excited. Don't worry, honey. We'll figure this out. Have you told your parents yet?
Mango: I told them, they weren't very happy but they're supportive. I'm so glad that you're okay with this. I was worried you would leave me.
Grape: Don't be silly, I'm not going anywhere. I need to tell my parents ASAP.
Mango: *groans* Yeah, I know. This is going to be awkward.
Grape: Just chill on the couch and let me do the talking. I don't know how they will react. My dad isn't home right now but I'll tell my mom, and she'll probably tell Dad when he gets home tonight. Let's go get it over with.

We get up and head for the living room where Mom is watching TV.

Grape: Hey Mom, can I talk to you?
Snow: Of course, sweetie.

Mango sits nervously on the couch, waiting to see my mom's reaction when I told her.

Grape: Mom...Mango and I are going to have a baby. We woohooed last month and now she's pregnant.

I got nervous all of a sudden, and started babbling like an idiot.

Grape: I'm sorry, Mom. I know what you're going to say. You're going to lecture me about being so young and not being careful. I know that we were stupid, and that we should have taken precautions when we woohooed but it was a spur of the moment thing and one thing led to another...

Snow: Grape, sweetie, it's okay. I wasn't going to lecture you. I know you're a smart young man and know about using protection and all that stuff.  There's no need to restate the obvious. I'm not angry with you. Besides, I wasn't much older than you when your father and I found out we were pregnant with Ash. I just want you to know that it won't be easy, especially at your age, but I know that you two will be great parents. Congratulations, Grape. Your father and I will be here to support you and help you whenever needed. Just take care of yourselves, and enjoy the ride.
Grape: Wow, thanks Mom. Can't say I was expecting that reaction. Do you want me to tell Dad, or are you going to?
Snow: I'll tell him, don't worry. I know him, he won't be angry.
Grape: Love you, Mom.
Snow: Love you too, Grape.

Dad got home a couple hours later. Mango had gone home to get some sleep. I looked on while Mom told him the news.

Snow: Hey, Plum. I need to tell you something regarding Grape.
Plum: Uh, okay, what did he do now?
Snow: Plum, you act like he's a troublemaker or something.
Plum: Yeah, you're right. We all know Cloud is the troublemaker.

Snow: Alright, enough joking around. I need you to know that Grape and his girlfriend, Mango, are expecting.
Plum: Expecting what?
Snow: What do you mean 'what'? You know what--a baby. We are going to have another grandchild.
Plum: *smiles* I know what you meant. I was joking. That's great! It reminds me of when we had Ash. Wow, another grandbaby. I can't wait.
Snow: You took this a little better than I thought you would, you big softie.
Plum: (jokingly) Oh shut up woman.
Snow: ...and now we wait...

And wait we did.

Generation 1: Introduction

A quick note about the series. This family/challenge started out as something I was playing for fun in my spare time. After the family was more established, I really started falling in love with this family and wanted to share it with you. So, I decided to document it and make it into a story. With that being said, this story doesn't start at the very beginning, but rather halfway through generation 1. I hope you enjoy regardless. Happy Simming!

...............................................................................................................................................

Hi! My name is Lilac Sweet, and this is my story. Why am I, a mere child, telling this story? Well, that's because when I am old enough I will be carrying on my parents legacy. Even though I'm young, I see EVERYTHING that happens in this household, which means I'm the perfect choice for narrator. I live with my mother, father and my five brothers. I guess you can say that boys run in the family. Let me introduce you them.

This is my mom, Snow Sweet. She is an amazing woman, especially having to deal with me and my siblings. She is a master painter and she works from home selling those paintings for some major cash.

This is my dad, Plum Sweet. He is a detective at the local police station. He and my mom met while he was on the job investigating a robbery at the museum where my mom was working at the time. They hit it off immediately and were married by the end of the year. Unfortunately, he works a lot, so he's only really around during the evenings on the days that he's working.

This is my oldest brother, Ash. He lives in San Marzipan with his wife and son. As a teenager, he was always a ladies man because of his looks and polite personality.

This is his wife, Raspberry Truffle. She is as sweet as her name. She came from a wealthy family and was living in her apartment in San Marzipan when she met Ash downtown. When the two started dating, she asked him to move in with her. They are still living in her very spacious apartment in the city. Since the city is a good ways away from where the rest of us live, we don't see them very often.

Not long after the two were married, they conceived this little cutie named Smore. I love playing with him when they come and visit.

This is my second oldest brother, Grape. He has a similar personality to Ash (polite and outgoing), but he isn't so lucky when it comes to women. One time he went on a blind date, only to find out the "woman" was actually a man that beat him up and robbed him. Poor guy :( Luckily after the incident, he met his current girlfriend.

This is Mango Meringue, his girlfriend. The two have been dating for a few months now. I think they are the cutest couple.

Next up is Cloud. He is my half brother. Let me explain...
My parents hit a rough patch in their marriage with my dad working all the time. During that time my mom had a fling and ended up pregnant. When news came out that my dad wasn't the father, things got a little messy. But eventually everyone involved decided to deal with it and pretend it never happened. To this day, memories from that time is a very sore spot with both of my parents. Though he doesn't look like it, Cloud is the rebel/"bad boy" of the family. He has a little bit of a drinking problem, and is pretty antisocial with other teens his age, making it difficult for him to find a girlfriend. He is the epitome of "teen angst".

This is his father, Cotton Candy. I met him before and he seems nice, but there's something about him that seems a little off. I get a sense of that bad boy attitude from him, so I think that is where Cloud got it from. With how much Cloud visits him, I guess it makes senses.

I was born a couple years after Cloud (so I'm the middle child, with three older brothers, and two younger brothers).

About a year after I was born, Blizzard came into the world. He is a fun-loving goofball that never fails to make me laugh.

And a year after Blizzard, came Tundra, the youngest of us all. He and Blizzard are very similar in both looks and personality. So much so, that a lot a people think they are twins.

Currently, we live in New Crust, a small town where everyone knows each other. My siblings and I live pretty repetitive lives, going to school, doing homework, sleep, repeat. That is, until one day something major happened. That is where our story will begin....

Chapter 1-1 ->

Chapter 9-12

A year after the miscarriage, Chantilly and Obsidian are officially young adults. And I'm happy to announce that are expecting...
