After the all the somberness that has plagued the household over the past several weeks, Melon and I decided to drop everything and have a family day with the kids. We had fun swimming in our pool and just hung out all day long.
It was great to have some quality time with the kids, and get our minds off of everything for a little while.
The kids had a lot of fun together, laughing and playing like I haven't seen them do since before Dad died. It warmed my heart to see it.
Our little family seemed a lot closer, and happier, after that day.
