Chapter 4-9

 Sunnie's POV

I decided to deal with this pregnancy alone, except for my family of course. Cranberry stops by on occasion to see how the baby and I are doing, but besides that he really doesn't do much. I mean, I get that he has a family, and he wants to keep this whole situation a secret from them, but I still wish I could see him more often.

Cranberry: He's getting big huh? I can't wait to meet the little guy. Keep me updated, Sunnie.
Sunnie: Yeah, he is. I'll keep you in the loop. Stop by more often, k?
Cranberry: I'll try. You know it's hard to get away from the family without it seeming suspicious, you know?
Sunnie: You really should just tell you wife the truth. She'll be angry if she finds out you've been keeping this for her.

Cranberry: I know, I will eventually. I'm just afraid of how she'll react. I don't want to tear our family apart.
Sunnie: The sooner, the better, just sayin'.

The baby grew really fast, and I was huge by the end of my second trimester. My son is due to be here soon, and I feel so unprepared. I don't know how to raise a child, and I'm scared. Everyone assured me that they'd help out, but I don't want to place that kind of burden on them.

The contractions started one day when I was on the computer. When they got worse and closer together, my parents took me to the hospital. My baby boy, Raspberry, was born late that night.

By the time he hit a year and a half old, it was very obvious that Cranberry is his father. There's no denying that face and bright hair.

He gets very excited when Cranberry comes to visit, which has been much more often than before.  Raspberry comes running as fast as his little legs will let him go. It's very cute.

When he hit two years old, I figured it was time to move out on my own. I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life, so I left my parents, sister and brothers behind.

Chapter 4-8

 Two months later
Sunnie's POV

Well, I knew it. That woohoo was a mistake. Too soon, and unprotected. Now I'm pregnant.
I need to tell Cranberry ASAP. The two of us are still together. We officially started dating a month ago. We have woohooed since that first time, but we were careful those other times, so I know I got pregnant from that first woohoo.

I texted him that I needed to tell him something in person. He agreed to come over.

Cranberry: Hey Sunnie, what's up?
Sunnie: We need to talk in private. Let's sit out by the pool.
Cranberry: Alright, lead the way.

I lead him to the table outside by the pool. Before we sit down, I decide to give him the news.

Sunnie: So, I don't know how you're going to feel about this, so I'm just gonna come out and say it. I'm pregnant.
Cranberry: ...
Sunnie: Is something wrong?
Cranberry: N-no, nothing, that's great news. But, I have something I need to talk to you about as well. You're not going to be happy with me, especially after what you just told me.
Sunnie: You're kidding, right?
Cranberry: Unfortunately not. Let's sit down.

We sit down. I'm nervous now. This doesn't sound like it's going to end well. When he starts talking, my heart drops into my stomach.

Cranberry: Sunnie, this relationship between us has to end. I'm sorry.
Sunnie:  But-but why? What did I do? Is it because of the baby?
Cranberry: It has nothing to do with the baby. This is all my fault. I'm an idiot. I shouldn't have gotten romantically involved with you. You see...I'm...well, I'm married.
Sunnie:..

Once he says that, everything made sense. His nice apartment, his "roommates", everything. It was too good to be true. I started bawling, surging hormones were enhancing my emotions.

Cranberry: S*** Sunnie, I'm really sorry. You're a gorgeous woman, and I fell for you...hard. If I wasn't married...
Sunnie: *in between sobs* What about the baby? Are you going to be involved in his/her life at least?
Cranberry: I'll be there for our child. I would like to stay in touch, and be friends. I feel so bad about this, and I'm not going to make you raise this baby alone. But...we can't tell my wife, for obvious reasons.
Sunnie: F-fine. Friends it is. I wish you would have told me about this before. I wouldn't have thrown myself at you if I'd known.
Cranberry: I know, I made a mistake. I hope you'll forgive me. I shouldn't have led you to believe I was interested, but I couldn't help it. You're so beautiful, and that attracted me to you, like a magnet. And since we're being honest...I want you to know that I have two children.
Sunnie: I feel like I don't know you at all. I was stupid for trusting you. I knew it was too good to be true.
Cranberry: Listen, this is not your fault in any way, shape or form. It was all me, and I'll take responsibility for that, and for the consequences because of this. I'm going to go now. If you need me, give me a call, okay?

I nod, and he leaves. How could he do this to me? How could he keep such a huge secret from me?

I go inside, not knowing what to do now. Sure, he said he'll help with the baby, but is he telling me the truth, or just telling me what I want to hear? How can I trust him now? Guess I'm on my own.

Sunnie: Mom, I need advice. Cranberry just broke it off with me. He told me that he's married. Can you believe that? How date he lie to me like that?
Blossom: *sigh* I don't believe that; he seems like such a nice guy. But you know, as the saying goes, 'There are plenty of other fish in the sea.' There's nothing you can do, but to move on.
Sunnie: But, there's more...
Blossom: Oh? Like what?
Sunnie: I'm pregnant, Mom. He left me after I told him. He said he'll be in the baby's life; he wants to stay friends. He doesn't want a romantic relationship, and he doesn't want his wife to know about any of this.
Blossom: Oh, well, that changes things, doesn't it? But it could be worse. He could have refused to be involved or said that the baby isn't his...lots of things. Consider yourself lucky. At least he wants to help you out. Your grandmother wasn't that lucky when she had your Aunt Holly.
Sunnie: What do you mean? What happened?

She proceeded to tell me about how my aunt was conceived when my grandmother was raped and how the father wanted nothing to do with the baby. That really put things in perspective for me. It COULD have been worse...much worse. I don't know what I would have done in that situation.

I decided that I'm going to try my best to make things work with Cranberry, as friends of course.

The next evening...

Citron: Hey, sis. I heard what happened. I can't believe he did that. Do you want me to beat him up, show him who's boss?
Sunnie: *giggles* No, Citron. I don't need his death on my plate too. Thanks though.*giggles*
Daisy: Seriously, Sunnie. If you need us to, we'll teach him a lesson!
Sunnie: I'll be okay, guys, really. Thanks for the concern.

My pregnancy cravings began shortly after that. All I wanted was popcorn. It's so weird, since I normally don't like popcorn.

Pregnancy is already doing strange things to my body, so I'm curious as to what's to come. I guess we'll find out soon.

Chapter 4-7

 Sunnie's POV

I'm finally eighteen, and officially considered an adult. To celebrate, my cousins Sage and Rosemary accompanied me to the pub. They are my closest friends outside of my household, and are a lot of fun to be around.

As we were hanging out, we spotted a cute guy sitting on the opposite side of the bar.

Sage: Oooh girl, you should go chat with him. He's totally adorable, and I think he's your type.
Sunnie: You sure? I mean he's cute, but I don't think I'm his type.
Rosemary: Oh come on. You're cute, he's cute. You're a match made in Heaven! Go introduce yourself!
Sunnie: Alright, alright, I'll go.

I casually stroll over to his side of the bar and sit next to him.

Sunnie: Hi! You looked lonely so I decided to come over and give you some company. I'm Sunnie, by the way.
???: Oh, hey there. My name is Cranberry.  I appreciate the company. Nice to meet you, Sunnie.
Sunnie: So, what are you doing here alone?
Cranberry: Just hanging out. I'm new in town, so I'd figured it would be a good way to meet new people. I'd say it's working so far. *winks*
Sunnie: Welcome to NewCrust! I'm sure you'll learn to like it here, once you get used to the small-town vibe.
Cranberry: Thanks....Say, would you be interested in going out some time? You know, show me around?
Sunnie: Sure, I'd love to.

We sat and talked for a while, just getting to know each other, you know, small talk. The girls had motioned to me that they were heading out, so I nodded and mouthed I'll tell you about it later.

Before we said our goodbyes, Cranberry and I made plans to meet up tomorrow night, at a new nightclub that opened.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

The next evening...

We meet up at the Club, and surprisingly inside it looks more like a normal bar than a club.

Cranberry: Glad you came. This place is pretty nice huh?
Sunnie: Yeah, it is. Not as crazy as I expected it to be.

The music started to get louder, so we decided to go outside to hang out at their outdoors area. It was really quiet out there. I nice change from inside.

We sit and chat some more. When I look over at him, I can't help but feel a spark of attraction. He is so cute, there's no way he is interested in me. But the way he's looking back at me tells me that my assumption is wrong. He most certainly is interested. I can see it in his eyes.

I get up to "stretch my legs," and he gets up as well. He turns to me, and gently pulls me towards him. His lips touch mine, and I feel like my legs turned to jello. This can't be real, it's too good to be true. I instinctively wrap my arms around him, enjoying the moment. We pull away after what seems like half an hour.

Cranberry: I really had fun tonight, just being with you. Do you want to do this again sometime?
Sunnie: Yes, I'd like that.

He escorts me home, and gives me one last kiss on the cheek.

Cranberry: Have a good night...Sunnie.
Sunnie: Thanks, you too. See you soon.
Cranberry: You bet.

I went inside and sat on the couch to watch some television before going to bed. I can't stop thinking about him. Why is he so into me? What's the catch? I can't wait to see him again, hopefully sometime soon.

The next day, tragedy struck. Grandma Ginger passed away. As you can imagine, the whole family is devastated. Dad was at work, so we called him to give him the news. The next few days were miserable for us as we were adjusting to life without her.

I have been talking to Cranberry over the phone regularly. He invited me out to lunch, so I could get out of the house for a while.

Cranberry: I'm sorry for your loss; your grandmother sounds like she was an amazing person. I feel for you. I lost my parents a few years ago in a car accident. I know how hard it is to lose those you love.
Sunnie: Thanks, I appreciate you saying that.
Cranberry: Hey, cheer up. She wouldn't want you to be sad. Your beautiful face looks so much better when your smiling. *smiles*
Sunnie: You're right. *smiles*
Cranberry: Much better. I know this seems a little fast, but do you want to go back to my place?Maybe getting away from your house will do you some good.
Sunnie: Yeah, sure, let's go!

We get to his apartment, and it's beautiful. How can someone his age afford something this nice without assistance?

We go into his room and sit on the edge of the bed.

Cranberry: Well, this is my room, nothing much but it's home.
Sunnie: This place is really nice, how can you afford this?
Cranberry: I have a couple roommates. They're out of town right now.
Sunnie: Oh, I see.

We talk as usual, and then something comes over me. I throw myself at him without thinking, and we start to kiss.

Then the kiss leads to woohoo. Not the smartest idea since I haven't know him for very long, even though it felt like I have. The woohoo was great. It felt so natural being with him.

Later that day, I returned home so everyone else wouldn't be worried about me. How'd I get so lucky to find a guy as great as him?

Chapter 4-6

Not too much later, I was surprised to find out that I was pregnant once again. Sure, Maize and I woohooed every once in a while, but we weren't actively trying for another child so this was a pleasant surprise. We found out that it is another boy.

The pregnancy flew by and little Nectarine was born. Now, hopefully, our little family is complete.

 Birthday Updates

Nothing much has happened since Nectarine was born. All the kids are getting older, and it warms my heart to see their personalities develop and grow.

Sunnie aged into a teenager. She is a beautiful young woman. She is very intellegent and a flirt, and she is ready to find her soulmate.

Daisy hit her teen years ten months later. She loves video games and photography, and aspires to run her own photography studio in the future.
She and Sunnie are still really close, even with all the hormones raging and drama that comes with high school.

Citron is now school-aged. He is a very sweet and fun-loving kid. He has grown very close to Grandma Ginger lately.

And little Nectarine has become a rambunctious little toddler.
